Lesson Plan: Baseball - Math Review:
This lesson was taught in a 4th grade summer school class to review and reinforce the mathematics practice done to date. |

Lesson Plan: Read Aloud:
I read aloud for a half hour daily in the 4th grade summer school class. Over five weeks we read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. The class participated in daily discussions and activities related to the book. |

Lesson Plan: Talk Show - Character Analysis:
This lesson was taught upon finishing Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. Using the talk show format to bring characters to life, the class reviewed and analyzed main characters from the book. |
|
Lesson Plan: Quotation Marks:
This lesson was based on my analysis of student reading and writing assessments given on the first day of summer school. The lesson was given during center rotation to small heterogenous groups. |
|
Lesson Plan: Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night:
I created and taught this lesson to a first grade class. The class hadn't been exposed to much art, and they were very excited and open to this lesson. I am very happy with their enthusiasm for the artist as well as the outcome of their own artwork. |

The topic of this WIP stems from my interest in art and photography. I believe bringing art into the classroom can enhance a lesson and peak interest in students. In this project photographs are used to convey the feeling of life during the Great Depression. This WIP was made for an Educational Technology class. It is intended for upper elementary and middle school students studying social studies. |

Power Point:
The student hook for the WIP was designed using PowerPoint (the above link will open Power Point). This presentation was designed to interest students in further analyzing photographs from the Great Depression. Using visuals rather than just text is a great attention grabber, and local San Diego photos were included to peak further interest and discussion.

Classroom Management Plan:
Developed for Educational Psychology, this was a group project to design a management plan for use in elementary classrooms. I plan on maintaining a class website, and posting the classroom management, rules, and procedures on the site allows availability to parents for reference.
